Gentle Grooming for Puppies and Sensitive Pets

A puppy's first grooming visit should build confidence, not pressure. At Paw Perfection, each session begins with a temperament and history inquiry so the groom can be paced around the pet's comfort, coat condition, and handling tolerance.

For young or sensitive pets, we use short stages, quiet arrival, and regular checks during the appointment. If a pet shows significant stress, pain, aggression, breathing difficulty, or another welfare concern, the session may be paused, shortened, or adjusted to protect the pet's wellbeing.

Calm sessions, careful handling, and clear communication at every step.

How Paw Perfection approaches first visits, nervous pets, and comfort-led grooming in Capens.

Our puppy introduction sessions are designed to familiarise pets with the grooming environment and basic handling. They are not a promise of a full haircut or every grooming stage, and the final scope depends on what the coat and the pet can safely manage on the day.

When coat condition or matting makes a requested finish uncomfortable or impractical, a shorter practical result may be recommended. We also confirm any agreed scope change before continuing, so owners stay informed and involved throughout the visit.
